For the 2009 edition of the Week UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development to be held November 9 to 15, 2009, the Italian Commission for UNESCO has chosen the theme "Cities and citizenship."
The Abruzzo Region is planned initiatives, organized by the Environmental Education Center of regional interest and other actors in the area, with an aim of education-training, ranging from promoting urban development and architecture to sustainable mobility, the enhancement of the protection of the landscape, cultural identity and health food, from sustainable tourism to intercultural dialogue. So
creative workshops, seminars, educational exhibits, sounding boards, guided tours to discover the natural and cultural heritage that our region holds for cities and places ecological and solidarity.
